Players race their one worm through an elaborate maze, from the start point to the finish point. No transport tools are provided, so players must rely on jumping through the maze, which can be very difficult depending on the map. A small selection of weapons is available, but these cannot be used to blast through the map as it is indestructible, and cannot be used to kill enemy worms as god mode is active. Instead, these weapons can be used to gain retreat time or inconvenience opponents.
The first player to get his worm to the finish wins the game.
